5 Healing Prayers To Empower Your Inner Self
These five healing prayers are your affirmations, or mantras that you say (sometimes over and over) to ground yourself while turning towards the Source within you.
I know that for some, words like God or Source may sound a bit out there. As someone who has been an atheist most of my life, I get you.
Therefore, I would like you to think about the word God as a Greatness within you, an Innate intelligence that guides you, Love that resides within you, or a Soul. And these healing prayers are your gateway to access this power.
I learned about healing prayers from 2 recent books I read and highly recommend. One is “The Game of Life and How to Play It” by Florence Scovel Shinn and “It’s Not Your Money” by Tosha Silver.
Beyond what we see in this 3-dimensional world that we access through our five senses, there is a different world beyond our awareness. It is the essence of who we are, and it goes beyond logic but lives at the level of intuition.
When we are in that place, we feel at ease, trust life, and feel open and safe.
These healing prayers combine the ones I learned and then adjusted to fit my life. I encourage you to do the same based on the stage you are in your life and what you are striving for.
As you’ll notice, I am using different names for the inner power we all have within. Feel free to use the ones that suit your temperament and preference.
5 Healing prayers
The first healing prayer is here to help you cast any burden on the higher consciousness within you.
“Love (or God, Inner Power, Consciousness), allow me to let go of this burden of (fear, anger, resentment, scarcity, fill in the blank). I give this over to you and go free to be (loving, peaceful, abundant, fill in the blank.)”
I use the following two healing prayers when I face a challenge or feel fearful or anxious. I also use it to remove expectations of how things should be and, instead, accept what is. It allows me to relax and come to terms with the situation.
“Loving consciousness, I trust that the path you are leading me on is safe and healing. I choose to face my challenges with ease and grace, knowing that I am protected and cared for beyond my awareness. I find refuge in non-duality, taking what comes and letting go of what goes. I choose to trust you. I choose to trust me, knowing we are One.”
“Devine Source, allow me to rest my worries in knowing that the challenge I face is here to support me. Lift the fog of resistance, worries, and anxiety so I can see with clarity. Help me recognize the lessons this situation offers me.”
The following prayer is an expression of gratitude and love towards my life, no matter how imperfect it is. I look beyond the materialistic world while trusting that I sit in the lap of something much bigger than myself that always guides and protects me.
“Loving God, thank you for always watching over me and supporting me, even when I turned away from you, thinking I could do this all on my own. I choose to rest my mind and heart, knowing that your invisible force is here to guide me. I express gratitude towards all I have become and choose to find value in every situation. I cherish this moment with you, knowing that this moment is all there is. You are me. I am you. We are one.”
The last of my 5 healing prayers focuses on affirming my worthiness and inner beauty while eliminating doubt associated with my value.
“Devine Spirit, help me to recognize that my worth and value are non-negotiable and ever so present. May I always recognize the God within me while knowing I deserve all the abundance and love. Help me become someone who can fully forgive and accept myself so I can live, love, and give freely.”
You can adjust these healing prayers and change wording to suit you.
Some days will be easier, and to say the payer once will be sufficient. On other days, you may feel defeated or fearful. In that case, repeat the prayer numerous times out loud or silently whispering. And if you want, feel free to let me know your prayer in the comment section below.
